| The City and County of San Francisco has an ongoing program
to upgrade it's existing public facilities. LEE was contracted by the City to seismically
upgrade and rebuild Firehouse 31. The 10,000 square foot facility was completely
demolished with the exception of the exterior masonry walls. The seismic upgrades included placement of concrete dowels, reinforcing steel
and poured in-place concrete and shotcrete to the existing walls in the basement, the
first and second floors.
The construction services LEE provided for this facility
included site work, earthwork, storm sewer, cast-in-place concrete, shotcrete, grout,
epoxy injection, masonry, structural steel, metal fabrication, carpentry, woodwork,
building insulation, roofing, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and
hydronics (heating).
The project was completed on a tight schedule, on-time and
within budget. |
