SAN ANDREAS WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Location: Millbrae, California
Client: San Francisco Water Department, City and County of San Francisco
LEEI's assignment was to provide the engineering for the upgrade and expansion of the sedimentation basin and filtration processes from 40 MGD to 80 MGD for the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct water treatment plant.  An additional expansion in 1990 was also completed by the same project team. LEEI staff provided the pilot plant, final design, specification, and O & M manual on both projects.
